Skin care should be selected individually, it directly depends on the type of skin and its characteristics.
Dermatologists divide facial skin into four types:
1. Normal
2. Dry
3. Oily
4. Combined
Initially, the skin type is laid down at the genetic level, but depending on some factors (lifestyle changes, hormonal changes, etc.), it may change. Everyone has their own visual differences and features in daily care that need to be taken into account.
Normal skin type
It is characterized by the absence of any visible flaws: skin gloss, dryness, pronounced relief, while the color is usually uniform. If you do not take care of a normal skin type, then inflammation will soon appear. Care should be aimed at maintaining the condition of the skin, no matter what the means are dried, or excessively moisturize the skin.
Dry skin type
Its peculiarity is thin, dry skin, which often flakes off. Such skin is prone to premature aging and is more sensitive. For care, it is recommended to use gentle cleansing foams, as well as moisturizing and nourishing creams, but it is better to abandon clay masks. They dry the skin very much.
Oily skin type
A distinctive feature of this type of skin is a greasy shine, enlarged pores, excessive sebum production. Such skin is vulnerable to the appearance of black dots and rashes. Cleansing the skin should be deep. Also use antibacterial tonics and do not forget about moisturizers. Despite the oily skin type, it needs hydration, but it is necessary to choose light textures of the products.
Combined skin type
With it, there are signs of oily skin type in the T–zone, in the nose, forehead and chin, and in other areas of the face there may be normal or dry skin type. For cleansing, you can choose a universal remedy that will soothe the skin in the T-zone, and remove dryness in dry areas. The remaining stages of care should be selected so as to take into account all the needs of the skin.
To understand what type of skin you have, you can take a small test. Clean your face with foam or face wash gel. Wait 2-3 hours and then take a paper towel and blot your face. Pay attention to what trace was left on the napkin.
If the napkin is almost all dry, then you have a dry skin type, if the napkin is all wet, then you have an oily skin type. If traces remain only in the T-zone, it means combined, and if minor traces remain on the napkins, then normal skin type.
You can also contact a dermatologist so that the doctor accurately determines your skin type and gives recommendations for care. The choice of funds is extremely important, because the constant use of unsuitable products will worsen the condition of your skin.
